1. Introduction
Welcome to One Small Step (“the App"), a digital marketplace that connects certified peers ("Peers") with individuals seeking support for substance abuse ("Users"). These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of our platform and services. By accessing or using the App, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the App.
2. Eligibility
To use the App, you must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into binding contracts. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet these eligibility requirements.
3. Services
The App provides a platform for Users to connect with certified Peers for support through video calls, phone calls, and messaging. The App itself does not provide medical, psychological, or therapeutic services. All interactions between Users and Peers are strictly for peer support purposes.
4. HIPAA Compliance
We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring the security of your personal health information (PHI). Our services comply with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) and other relevant privacy laws. All personal information collected, stored, and shared within the App is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable legal standards.
5. Account Registration
To use the App, Users and Peers must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process and to update such information to keep it accurate, current, and complete. You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
6. Fees and Payment
Users may be required to pay fees for certain services provided through the App. All fees and charges are outlined clearly in the App before the service is provided. Payment must be made through the App's designated payment system. All payments are non-refundable unless otherwise stated.
7. Code of Conduct
All Users and Peers are expected to interact respectfully and professionally. Any behavior deemed inappropriate, abusive, or harmful may result in the suspension or termination of your account. We reserve the right to monitor interactions for quality assurance and compliance with these Terms.
8. Limitation of Liability
The App provides a platform for connecting Users with Peers but does not guarantee the effectiveness or outcomes of any interactions. We are not responsible for any harm, loss, or damage resulting from your use of the App or interactions with Peers. Your use of the App is at your own risk.
9. Intellectual Property
All content, trademarks, logos, and other intellectual property on the App are the property of Small Step, Inc. or its licensors. You may not use, reproduce, or distribute any content from the App without our prior written permission.
10. Privacy Policy
Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which outlines how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. Please review the Privacy Policy carefully.
11. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the App at our sole discretion, without notice or liability, if we believe you have violated these Terms or engaged in conduct that may harm the App or other users.
